405area has new update 1 day ago TLO Restaurant Review: Aurora
I thought I had eaten at most of the restaurants in the Plaza District, but as I was driving the neighborhood late one afternoon, I realized that I had forgotten one of the few breakfast spots in the area – Aurora, 1704 NW 16th St. I had heard about their "farm fresh" breakfasts and cinnamon rolls, but every time I found myself in a more breakfast mood, I found myself visiting somewhere else. 405area has new update 1 day ago Text messages reveal Brent Swadley’s deception, and concerns about future of “White Race”
Yesterday afternoon, a PDF containing a large batch of state evidence related to the Swadley’s Foggy Bottom Swindle made the rounds on social media. For the most part, the 150-page PDF is pretty mundane and full of boring deposition, appraisal info, and other court documents, but it does include some text messages between Brent Swadley and his co-defendant Curt Breuklander that are juicier than a big pile of brisket. 405area has new update 2 days ago Brisket Day is upon us
Just thinking about March 28 should make your mouth start watering as that day has been designated National Brisket Day. We all know people are picky about their brisket. While we might argue about the right way to prepare it, we should all be able to agree nothing beats a perfectly smoked brisket. If you don’t want to spend all day (or night) smoking your brisket check out one of these local Chamber members for some great BBQ. Whether you like your brisket chopped, shredded or sliced you can’t go wrong with one of these great restaurants. Iron Star Urban Barbecue — This restaurant has been serving great food since 2002 and is named after Oklahoma outlaw Bella Star. They offer a unique spin on comfort food. Rudy's — This BBQ staple has locations in north OKC and Norman. Swadley's — Since the 90s, Swadley's has been serving some of the best BBQ in Oklahoma and has eight locations statewide. Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill — If you are out and about in Bricktown, Toby Keith’s is a great place to grab some brisket while learning about the Oklahoma icon. Earl's Rib Palace — With five locations throughout the metro, Earl's has been smoking up great meat since 1996. Fuzzy's Taco Shop — If you like your brisket with a little flair, you can try any of the many Fuzzy's locations. They offer brisket in tacos, burritos, salads, nachos or quesadillas. Big Truck Tacos — Kick up their award-winning tacos, burritos or tortas trying them with brisket on your next trip.
